CAREER SUMMARY:

Recent college graduate from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts and artistic internship experience at Walt Disney World. Areas of artistic expertise include drawing, ceramics, painting and sculpture, with a breadth of experiences including bookbinding and glassblowing. Computer proficiencies include Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, FinalCut Pro, Flash and Maya. Other areas of expertise in:

ARTISTIC WORK
EXPERIENCE:

  • Animation Tour Artist, Walt Disney World College Program, Orlando, FL Aug 2006-present
    Leading guests in a drawing class teaching them to draw classic Disney characters as part of the Magic of Disney Animation attraction in the Disney MGM Studios. Gaining experience in effective communication, guest service/ interaction, problem solving, and team building while further honing my drawing skills.
  • Artist Assistant, to multimedia artist, Pittsburgh, PA, Summer 2006
    Created a series of five plaster sculptures for an upcoming exhibition, worked collaboratively and independently under the direction of the artist to sculpt plaster into organic shapes.
  • Production Intern, 1905 Productions, Entertainment Tech. Ct, Pittsburgh, PA, Fall ‘05-Sum‘06
    Researched, transcribed interviews and assisted with the creative development of the feature length documentary “A Tale of Two Cities.” Collaborated with a team of students in animating short sequences for the film. Gained experience in independent filmmaking in its production and post-production phases.
  • Portrait Artist, Kauman’s Inc, Hershey Park, Hershey, PA, Summer 2003 & 2004
    Created profile and front view realistic and caricature portrait sketches in pastel and hand-cut silhouettes, Promoted to Lead Artist for second summer. Gained great ability to draw quickly and accurately in a fast-paced outdoor setting.
  • Graphic Designer, Crisis Care Inc, Rainbows of Hope, Fort Mill, PA, Summer ‘04
    Developed multi-layer artwork using images of children for the company’s training curriculum, brochure and logo.

    Created 5-10 minute realistic portrait sketches in charcoal and graphite, gained
    experience in drawing quickly to capture likeness, gesture and expression.
